California Amenities Ban
California Amenity Bottle Ban Signed into law in 2019, the ban set to take affect in 2023 and 2024 depending on the size of the property. Properties under 50 rooms will have an extra year to implement the change and to equip guestrooms with amenity dispensers. In the long run the amenity dispensers will save hotel owners money at the same time reducing the amount of plastic going to landfills. Under the ban are the single use amenity bottles including shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash.
